Travel Information
The 120 “First bus” travels from the city centre to the university accommodation, located at Endcliffe Student Village. Buses take cash. Walking from the accommodation to the Diamond takes approximately 20-30 minutes. Information for Presenters
The Diamond Lecture Theatres will be operating Windows 7 and 10, and have all standard MS Office. If you intend to use animations, please ensure you bring the movie files with you. You should bring your presentation on a usb stick at least 15 minutes prior to your session and upload onto the computer in the room where you will present into the folder for your session. Please check the programme for this information.

There is no support for Macs. Should speakers wish to use their own Mac this is possible however they will need to supply all relevant adaptors. You may wish to use your own laptop – if this is the case you should attend in advance to check that your laptop and presentation will work. The lecture theatres have both VGA and HDMI cables.

The Kelham Island Industrial Museum houses the River Don Engine, the most powerful working steam engine in Europe, interactive galleries following the growth of the steel city and also one of the last few remaining Bessemer Converters in the world.

Drinks reception in the museum from 7.00pm with a working demonstration of the River Don Engine at 7.45pm Dinner at 8.00pm
