'Measuring the behaviour of a soft material: from quasi-static to blast response'
Professor Genevieve Langdon, University of Sheffield, UK

Genevieve Langdon is Professor of Blast and Impact Engineering at the University of Sheffield. She completed her undergraduate and doctoral studies in Engineering at the University of Liverpool. She is a Chartered Engineer, member of the BSSM and Academy of Sciences of South Africa. She is an Honorary Professor at the University of Cape Town, having spent 15 years working there as an academic. Her research interests include explosion mitigation, blast injury, and the transient response and failure of structures and materials subjected to explosion loading. Some of her papers have been read by more than three Norwegians.
